BIOGRAPHY
The Rt. Hon. Lord Diljit Rana, OBE, Baron of Malone, Member House of Lords, established Lord Rana Foundation Trust, UK & Smt. Jawala Devi Memorial Trust, India, in fond memory of his revered mother to promote educational and skill development levels of the rural youth thereby transforming their lives and the rural Punjab.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive of Andras House Ltd. a broad based company with substantial business interests in hotels, restaurants and commercial properties in Belfast (Northern Ireland)
Mr. Tony Blair, Prime Minister, United Kingdom decorated Mr. Diljit Rana with the prestigious position, Member House of Lords, UK in 2004 for his highly dedicated services in the regeneration of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Awarded Honorary Degrees by: Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland; the University of Ulster, Belfast, Northern Ireland; and, Bengal Engineering and Science University, Kolkata, India.
MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
The Sanghol, a place with rich cultural heritage, linked to Indus Valley Civilization dating back to 3000 BC, is my proud place of birth. To me, it was an obvious choice for dedicating myself to the task of regeneration and transformation of inhabitants in the surrounding areas through cultural, scientific and technical education to inculcate in them scientific temper, creative thinking and innovative practices. I appreciatively acknowledge the pro-active cooperation and support of Sanghol Gram Panchayat, worthy Trustees and eminent educationists in furtherance of my pursuits, who not only provided encouragement, but also qualitatively transformed my dream into a reality. After having achieved a name in the academic world and establishing its identity, the stage was set for embarking upon setting up institutions of international standards, to provide opportunities to the youth so as to realize their potentialities for a bright future. Committing to excellence, I promise to bring the world level education to the door steps of the rural Punjab for accelerating the pace of rural development and transformation aiming at the improvement of the quality of life. The world class infrastructure in our institutes will enable youth to free itself from the conditions inhibiting their life chances and providing opportunities to enable them to achieve higher educational and occupational goals. The progress made so far convinces me to reiterate that the Cordia Group in the long run, through knowledge and awareness, would instill a sense of cultural pride and self-reliance. It would help alleviate poverty, sustain development and in the process create environment of immense employment opportunities, to ensure Sanghol emerging as a educational hub. I welcome you all to this unique Cordia Group of Educational Institutes to acquire knowledge, skills, learning experience and exploring the world of opportunities.
